Roger
Heaton is known throughout the British Isles for his animal portraits, many
of which are specially commissioned for private collections.
He originally had a formal art training, has had experience in the advertising
and publishing worlds and, for the past 36 years, has concentrated solely
on painting
Throughout those years he has successfully completed
well over 1730 paintings in a wide range of mediums.
This
site shows just a small selection of his work - but what there is, is indicative
of his style and reveals his versatility and range over many subjects.
Subjects that include
Animal Portraits, Personal Portraits, Equestrian Portraits, Memory montages
and Landscapes.
Roger
Heaton also created the HOST_OF_ANGELS_EXPERIENCE
- a display showing the varied and changing styles of artists who, over
1500 years, have used Angels in their paintings and manuscripts.
In 1999 he illustrated the book GRANTHAM
- Landscapes and Legends, written by Malcolm Knapp.
The
Studio shows a
range of samples of commissioned works.
The Gallery
shows the paintings, limited edition prints and
antique engravings which are for sale to the general public.
